All data collected during recruitment is stored on a server that is accessible only to FriLab researchers and staff at the IT department of the University of Fribourg. These data are used only for the purpose of organizing the recruitment of participants at FriLab. Experimental data will never be transferred to third parties. We use the data for the following purposes:
to inform participants about new experiments and invite them to take part
to possibly select participants for certain studies according to scientifically motivated characteristics
to check (non) show-ups of registered participants at each experimental session
Participation is voluntary. Every participants can decide at any point to not receive any further invitations for experiments.
A participant has the right to have his or her data deleted from the recruitment system if he/she wishes to do so. In this case, please send a written demand to
All data generated during an experiment is anonymous.
Decisions are recorded and saved anonymously and cannot be linked to a person. Specifically, each participant is assigned a randomly generated ID number when entering and experiment and data from experiments can at no point be linked to personal data stored in the recruitment system. The anonymous experimental data will be analysed and used for scientific research, including publications in scientific journals and public talks.
